Friends of the Shelter is funded in several ways, including grants, fundraising events, corporate affiliations, membership dues, bequests and general donations. We are an all volunteer organization and depend on support from members and the public to continue our work to provide spay/neuter assistance and support our county shelters.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization (IRS Tax #61-1193291) and all donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Note for online payments: we are not charged a fee for online payments through Zeffy's fundraising platform. However, the payment summary will include an optional contribution that goes to the payment company. You can change or delete this amount. Zeffy accepts major credit and debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Friends of the Shelter is funded in several ways: applying/ receiving grants, our fundraising events, our affiliations with companies listed on the Ways to Help page, annual membership dues, bequests, and general donations. We do not pay any salaries; FOTS is an all volunteer group. 100% of our net profits go to our programs.
