PetFest 2025
We are celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Friends of the Shelter at PetFest. Stop by our location to get a free tote bag (one per family), cupcakes and a free door prize ticket.
Please Note: A New Location This Year
PetFest is again in September, on Sunday Sept 28. However, IT WILL BE MOVED TO England Idlewild Park, 5500 Idlewild Rd, Burlington. The Park is next to the Boone County Animal Shelter. The change is due to construction at our Boone Woods location.
We believe PetFest is a great opportunity to showcase adoptable animals, merchandise and humane education information.
We held our Silent Auction online in May which raised more than we usually get at a live auction so it will not be part of PetFest again this year. We thank all participated in it. We will have adoptable pets, raffles, dog contests and food as well as many non-profits and vendors.

Contribute to our Food Court
Every year members donate the items for sale in the food court so we can sell them at reasonable prices. We'll post a list of specific items needed on Facebook closer to the event. These are things like: chips, drinks, hot dogs, buns, condiments, paper towels, ice, baked goods (individually wrapped), etc.

Become a Volunteer
We need many volunteers on PetFest day to direct vehicles to their booth spaces, help set-up/ take-down booths, pass out programs and assist at the food court. Teens and adults welcome. This counts as Service Hours for teens.
Rent a Booth Space
Are you a business that would like to showcase your product or service? Are you a crafter and have a product to sell? We invite you to rent a booth space for $60 (10 x 10 space). We encourage local rescues to participate. If you are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your booth space is $25.
Due to the new location, only sponsors will be able to have a vehicle in their booth.
Our 7 Northern Kentucky Shelters may have a booth space at no charge, but you need to apply to reserve your space.
